I’m Gary and I design board games. I’m 34 years old and I have 3 amazing children and a wonderful partner. I started designing games as a hobby in 2013 although my passion for the hobby goes back to when I first picked up a copy of Space Hulk at the age of 12.
In 2011 I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease. I am currently unable to work due to my condition but I find some solace in design and talking about design.
For the past 2 years I have been working to hone my skills as a board game designer. This has also helped me understand other elements of design and fundamental design principles.
I’m eager to learn and I’m always open for discussion. You can find me on BGG as debiant. Or you can follow me on twitter @billyboardgame. Also, I’m very lonely on facebook.com/billyboardgame, I will accept any and all friend requests.
What’s with the name? Well, I’m glad you asked. The reference is to a review that Quinns from Shut Up & Sit Down did a while back. I can’t remember which one so you’ll have to dig through them all. It’s worth it. Okay, I do remembeer, but you’ll have much more fun if you go looking for it.
